New Accounts Manager

Kara Penera serves as the New Accounts Manager at Way Financial where she brings a valuable blend of administrative expertise, precision, and client care to the firm. Before joining Way Financial, Kara worked as a legal secretary and was pursuing a career in the legal field. When she became a mother, she chose to dedicate her time to raising her two boys, Samuel and Judah, and spent several years focused fully on her family.

After Samuel and Judah reached an age where they were in school for most of the day, Kara decided to return to work. She was originally hired by Way Financial as the Office Manager. As the company grew and the need for specialized attention to detail increased, it became clear that Kara’s skill set was an ideal match for the firm’s expanding operations. She transitioned into the New Accounts Manager role where her organization, accuracy, and background in the legal field have made her an essential part of the client onboarding experience.

Kara is married and lives in Santa Cruz with her husband and their two boys. In addition to her work at Way Financial, she serves as the finance officer on the board of a nonprofit organization in Santa Cruz where she enjoys using her skills to support her local community.

Kara says that what she enjoys most about her position at Way Financial is helping people feel good and confident about taking positive steps toward their future.
